A Cautionary Tale….

…a year before my father passed away…he went to the doctor feeling light-headed.

It didn’t take the doctor long to diagnose he’d had a heart attack and he was sent straight to surgery for a by-pass operation.

The doctor, who did the surgery, couldn’t believe my father had been driving a 40 foot truck the day before.

“I don’t know how he was even standing up, the blockage was that bad.” I remember him remarking.

Thankfully he got through it and put his truck driving days behind him.

But in the year he lived after that, he never put his house in order, Will or otherwise.

When he passed away, my mother and sisters had to go around and sort
everything out.

To be honest, I was angry at him for leaving that mess behind him… he’d had a close call and buried his head in the sand.

The other day I got an email about a well known internet marketer who died without life insurance.

I don’t know the full story so I can’t comment, but it brought back to me
what happened with my father and got me thinking.

How many marketers and authors are burying their heads in the sand?

Not building emails list, not building platforms of their own and relying
on someone else to host their money making websites, and running
from one Guru promotion to another as if they’ve got unlimited time and money to throw away.

Life and other businesses can pull the rug out from under your feet.

Maybe it’s time to get your house in order.

Are you still burying your head in the sand?
