…if there’s one thing that rubs me up the wrong way it’s someone that refuses to try something because they ‘can’t do it.’
‘Just give it a go.’
‘I can’t’
‘But you haven’t tried.’
‘But I know I can’t.’
‘If you try at least we’ll know.’
‘I know I can’t do it.’
And the more you try to coax them, the more frustrated you get. – By the end, it ends in tears or swear words.
You can’t help people like that.
They’ve already come to the conclusion that it’s impossible for them.
By the way, that conversation up there isn’t just limited to kids.
I’ve wasted hours of my life trying to get people to step out of the shallow end of life and take action on something I know they could do.
And yet they wouldn’t budge.
For those people, they’ll come to the end of their lives with more questions than answers.
What if I did write that book? – What if I built that side hustle? – What if I did that podcast? – What I’d tried a little harder?
Now while we won’t be able to answer all of the questions we’ll have, it would be nice to have the biggest ones answered.
How about you?
What’s the question that’s going to haunt you?
You could, wait for that future moment, and know you’ll have to come up with an excuse for why you didn’t try……or you could find out that answer starting today.
Could you write a book?
Could you start a popular YouTube channel?
Could you be someone’s coach?
Could you be one of those people on Tik Tok with a huge following?
Right now, neither of us knows.
But starting the conversation in your head with ‘Could I?’ is a good starting place.
It means that could be possible.
And there’s nothing that’ll put a little spring in your step than the feeling that there might be an opportunity to do that thing.
That it could be possible.
The easiest thing is to say that it’s not, and shut that door without finding out.
The ‘Couldn’t People’ the world has an abundance of them.
The ‘Could I People’ they’re few and far between.
One camp is miserable and needs an alarm clock to get them out of bed. – The other is up before the alarm has a chance to go off.
Could you do the thing you want to do?
Let’s find out.
My own journey to where I am now, began with that question. In ‘The Online Business Manifesto’ I show you how I went from being a lowly shelf stacker to creating and selling my own digital products and the 3 secrets I learned along the way.
