…how much do you want to be successful at what you’re doing?
A lot….you’ll say.
But, I’m sure if you cut the crap, you’ll admit you’re kidding yourself.
You’re doing things that aren’t the best use of your time.
You’re listening to the wrong people.
You’re buying products that are pulling you in the wrong direction.
Matt Furey, (Google him if you’ve never heard of him), says that the one thing that’ll make you successful is…..desire.
If you really want what you want, you’ve got too much to do to…follow the latest ‘Is it gold, or black?’ discussion on social media….the latest box set that drops on Netflix…what Trumps’s doing….whether Brexit’s going to work or not….and a ton of other distractions.
That’s not where your attention should be.
If you want to be a better writer, you should only be focusing on making your writing better.
If you want to be building an email list, you should be working on building an email list.
If you want a coloring book, puzzle book, empire then that’s your lane, stay in it.
January’s going to be here soon, and you’re going to make promises to yourself, your spouse, family, and then break them by February.
‘But this year’s going to be different,’ you say.
So was last year, and so was the year before.
How much do you want it?
What’s your desire for what you want?
How much will you fight for it?
How much are you willing to cut the crap and stop kidding yourself?
This time next year, you’ll know the answer to that question.
PS – Oh, and I wrote this for me too…yeah, I’ve fallen off the wagon a few times this year as well.
