“If You Can’t Fly….” Then You Need To Do This

…’If you can’t fly then run,

if you can’t run then walk,

if you can’t walk then crawl,

but whatever you do you have

to keep moving forward.’

Martin Luther King.

When I was small my mother was big into knitting.

I don’t know if she had a big love for it, or if it was a necessity because she   hadn’t the money for clothes, she never said.

Anyhoo…

One time she knitted me a bright striped jumper with an ice pop on the front of it.

At the time I thought I was the bee’s knees and the spider’s ankles.

I mean, who else had a jumper like me? No one.

Well probably me and the kid on the knitting pattern, but I didn’t know that at the time.

Anyway…. our next door neighbor saw me strutting my stuff and asked if I’d like to model my jumper at a local fashion show.

Sign me up… just show me the catwalk.

She probably regretted that decision later, when they couldn’t get me off the stage.

Yep, Barry got on stage and wouldn’t get off.

I vaguely remember the crowd cheering me as I ran around the stage refusing to get off and having a tantrum when I was dragged off.

Hey, I was only 3 at the time.

But in that moment, I’d made it.

They also loved my jumper. 🙂

That’s one great thing about getting in front of people that love what you have.

If you give them what they’re looking for, there’s hardly any selling to do.

If I want a ‘Posh Coloring Book’ and you’re the only one offering one, how hard is it to sell to that customer?

Yep, people are looking for Posh Coloring Books.

Want to know what else they want?

Go here and see.

PS – For some strange reason I never got invited back.

Aw well, God loves a trier.
