…Why? We’ve got a pair of Irish twins in the house. – There’s less than a year between them, and their birthdays are this week.
My eldest, Matthew, is about to turn 19 in three days time. Lauren turned 18 today.
The fact that I’m sharing the house with two official ‘Chadults’…is weird to me.
Me at that age, I didn’t know my arse from my elbow. I’d only recently had my first kiss…and the odds of me having a girlfriend were well….too big a number to write down.
Now looking back, it’s funny how, a pinch on the arse, brought my wife into my life. That my first real long distance drive (further than a mile), would have our first baby in the back seat. And that I had a knack for entertaining people with my words.
All of which were ahead of me.
Which brings to me to you.
Now matter how crazy all those dreams you have right now, books that you can’t write, a podcast that you want to create but are afraid of doing, an online income that seems you’ll never reach…it’s all out there waiting for you.
You’ve just got to keep walking toward it, you’ll get there.
When you do, you’ll be surprised by what you can do.
You’ll look back at the younger version of you and not recognise yourself.
Take Chris Rock as an example…he used to turn up to comedy clubs before 7 in the evening in the hope he’d get some time on stage. When he didn’t, he’d stay until 2 in the morning waiting for his chance.
Today, I think he’d say he’s done pretty well for himself.
Same goes for you.
Don’t give up.
