Strange Things Have Been Happening Recently…

….a simple question for today…. How grateful are you?

Now the reason I’m asking is because some strange things have been happening to me recently when I started a gratitude journal a few weeks back.

Now… I’d heard about them… and the power of gratitude… but never put anything much into action.

But this time, I don’t know why, but I started taking note of all the good things that happen in my day.

Then… two weeks ago…. a neighbor of ours gave me a loan of a power washer he’d hired out completely out of the blue.

Now, I’d been meaning to hire one myself for a long time because there was a green scum starting to grow on the side steps of our house which looked bad and were slippery when wet.

And yesterday, whilst walking through our local forest, someone handed me and Catherine an umbrella to keep us dry in the downpour.

Things like that never happen to me.

Why am I bringing all this up?

Well, sometimes we get so wrapped up in our writing, creating, and online businesses, that we never pause for a moment and acknowledge what we have or achieve.

We’re always looking for more, more, more, and don’t take a moment to be grateful for what’s here right now.

Like the few people who like your social media content, the few email subscribers who open your emails, the few customers we have who buy our stuff.

Sometimes we look down on those things, instead of looking up at them and being grateful that they’re there.

No one needs to read your content, no one needs to read your emails, no one needs to buy your products, the fact that people are doing those things is amazing.

Don’t forget that.

It’s easy to get caught up in the… ‘I don’t know enough’ … ‘I’m not good enough’… ‘I don’t have enough’ … mindset that exists in the online world.

But when you’re locked in that thinking, more money, more people, and more recognition are never enough.

It’s like trying to fill a bucket that’s got a huge hole in the bottom.

So how about taking a moment to recognize how far you’ve come and what you’ve done?

Have a good one… and thanks for being a reader!
