Dear Friend,
What’s wrong with this picture?
You work a forty-hour week….and you only get paid for those forty hours.
And if you need more cash you’re got to trade in more hours of your life to do so.
And if you get sick… take unpaid time off…your income goes down accordingly?
The problem you have is your income is dependent on you showing up somewhere. -
You’ve got to be physically in your job for you to get paid.
I knew that problem only too well.
When I worked as a shelf stacker in our local store, doing a ten-hour night shift, I didn’t get a penny more than the hours I stood in that mind-numbing job. - And when I took sick, or just couldn’t face going in to do my shift, my income went down.
That’s OK when you’re young free and single, but when you’ve got a mortgage to pay and three kids to feed, you can’t do that too often.
Working that way you soon realize that there’s a limit on how much you can earn. - Even if you work every hour you could physically do there’s only so much you can earn.
You’re in an income trap.
If they’re clever….they do someone thing once and they get paid for it over and over again.
Take someone like Taylor Swift for example. She goes into the music studio, records a song or album, puts it on an online music store, and gets paid over and over again for that work. - So 24/7 there’s money headed to her bank account without her lifting a finger.
Nice, right?
Now you and I mightn’t be a great musical talent like Taylor, but that doesn’t mean you can’t put the same process into action thanks to the Internet.
After reading that, there’s probably a part of you that thinks that too good to be true.
But is it?
Take a trip over to YouTube and it won’t take you long to find an 8-year old that’s making more money than a heart surgeon does. - And that’s by creating one-off videos and getting paid over and over again with advertisement revenue.
‘That may be true,’ you’re thinking. ‘But I’m not into Minecraft or gaming. ‘
Here’s the thing….there is something you can do - regardless of your age or knowledge - that could become an income stream for you.
What is it?
The process….you create a digital report or video series that helps people with a problem, and then you sell it to them. And because everything is digital there’s no physical stock to store, no postage or packing, and you can send your content to anyone with an Internet connection.
But again, good and all as that sounds, I’m sure you’ve still got doubts. You’re probably thinking things like…
- What could I sell that anyone would want?
- I’m no genius, I was the worst student in school.
- I’m too old for that game, that’s something for younger folks.
- There’s no one would send me money for anything I’d make.
For the longest time, I had the same doubts myself.
Where do I start? ...What do I make? ...Who am I to think I can create something like that.. I'm just a shelf stacker? ...People would never see me as an expert....Nobody would give me money for anything I make...
...And on and on it went in my head.
Because of that I sat on that idea for longer that I should have.
When you were born before the Internet, and only worked in real-world jobs creating or selling physical products, the thought of creating something that you can't hold in your hand is a weird one.
And never being a genius at school, or having any major qualifications...I doubt that I could do it.
What might surprise you, is that creating a digital product isn't as difficult as you think. - In fact, it's one of the easiest and most stable ways you can make money on the Internet.
And once you get over the mental hurdle of creating your first one it gets easier and easier. - Again I'm speaking from experience here, but when people start to send you money for something you make it gets very addictive. - I didn't create a digital product in years....but when I started I created 3 in as many weeks.
Imagine for a moment…
- Waking up and finding out that someone has sent you a payment while you sleep?
- Having an income stream that doesn’t require you to be there, dealing with customers, and doesn’t care if you show up or not that day?
- And having the feeling that you’re making a difference in people’s lives?
That's the power of digital products.
