……seems the more emails you send the more money you make.
Now don’t get me wrong.
This isn’t me using “Guru” speak, but something I’ve found out for myself.
Sending more emails means more of your words get through to your subscriber.
Let’s face it, your subscriber’s email box is probably as jammed packed as your own.
They’ve got promotions from Amazon, Groupon, and God knows what else they’ve sign up for.
You send your weekly or monthly email…and it gets swallowed and lost in the abyss of emails in their inbox.
Or maybe you hit them at the wrong time of day, they’re scrolling through their email on the toilet and never get back to your promotion that day.
Send a daily email and you’ve got 7 chances to get their attention.
You can even set those 7 emails to go out at different times, meaning you’re bound to get them at a good time at least once a week.
‘But won’t I annoy them, sending all those emails?’
Yes, you’ll annoy a few and they’ll unsubscribe, but let’s face it, they weren’t that into you in the first place.
But do it right, with a little personality, and they’ll look forward to your emails.
How many emails make their day, give them a chuckle, teach them something useful, and don’t come across as being written by a someone that’s had their personality taken away.
Not many, I can assure you.
The majority are boring, or so businesslike that they’re as rigid as a shirt that’s been left overnight in starch.
Let me leave you with this…
Q: Why did the chicken cross the road halfway
A: She wanted to lay it on the line.
Bet that made you smile.
You could be that little ray of sunshine in their inbox.
If you don’t do it, someone else is going to get there before you.
But come on, you’re funnier, a better writer, and cooler to hang out with, right?
I knew it.
Now take that coolness over here and let the funtimes and montimes begin.
Yes I know montimes isn’t a real world…but that’s how I roll.
