…one of them is…
I’m not good enough to make money from writing.
..and two…I just don’t have the time.
Or maybe you’ve got something else holding you back.
But whatever it is…chances are it’s a lie.
If you tell me that you’re not good enough or qualified enough to make money from writing…
…you’re giving a lot of people (that do), more credit than you should.
If you tell me you don’t have the time…
…but you’re spending all evening on Netflix, then you have to question how well that time is being spend.
Unless you’re tied up and can’t move your arms…you’re using excuses and lying to yourself.
I know, because I used to do it a lot too.
It was only when I started doing things, and taking action, that I realised that the people who I was afraid of failing in front of weren’t paying me the attention I thought they were.
If you’re holding yourself back, because of what others are going to say or think……honestly…most of those people are to wrapped up in their own dramas to be paying you any attention.
But if you’re not happy with the direction your life is going, and you’re not doing anything about it…you’ve only yourself to blame.
You’re too good for that.
If you’re a WriteCome member you’ll find lots of tools to get started.
If you’re not let’s get you started and let’s put an end to the lies.
