You Don’t Know How Good You Have It

…being born before the Internet, some days I feel like Buck Rodgers in the 25th century.

Because in the world when all of us lived in ‘black and white’, things were a lot tougher.

You had to put leaflets through people’s doors to let them know you existed.

You had to rent a store and possibly a warehouse to sell products.

You had to get someone to OK your book before it went on a bookshelf.

You had to wait 28 days for delivery.

And if you wanted to get on the radio or TV, good luck with that one working out for you.

Now…those doors have been blown wide open.

A Facebook or Google ad can get you in front of hundreds if not thousands the next 24 hours.

A website, along with a digital product, can be up and selling by the end of the week.

A book can be written, and guaranteed to be published, in mere days.

Amazon delivery… heck you can get fast food brought to your door in an hour or less.

And a TV channel and radio station can be yours for the price of a smartphone and a few apps.

Honestly, we’ve never had it so good.

And if you’re not taking advantage of all of those things, you really need your head examined.

To go from someone paying you an hourly wage to having money coming in while you sleep.

To go from being the only one in town that has a love for bath bombs to building a community, a store, and selling your own ones all over the world.

To go from giving the same talk over and over again, to publishing it on the Internet for thousands to hear and be heard long after you’re gone.

To publish books and content and have the only delay being you and how quickly you can get it out.

Yeah, you can get lost down the rabbit hole of all the nasty things on the Internet and what people say to each other nowadays.

But people have always said stupid and done nasty things. – So that’s not going to change. We’ve had those since the stone age days.

We’ve never had it so good.

And if you’re not taking advantage of it, because you’re looking for an easier time, go watch some videos from the 70s and 80s.  : )

Speaking of changes, there’s no way someone like me would have been able to create and sell my own digital products 24/7 pre-internet.  If you’d like to know how I wised up to that fact, go to https://www.writecome.com now and discover the 3 online business secrets I found out along the way.
